A few things to keep in mind while reading this post;
Good morning, girls! Welcome to another edition of The Friday Five; a fun series where I’ll share my top 5 favorite things I’m loving on the internet each week! Admittedly, this week’s Friday Five got a little themey, but with the Fourth right around the corner, I thought it would be ok just for this week!
The Friday Five
The Fourth of July is right around the corner and I am in full outfit planning mode! We normally play it pretty low key on the Fourth. My sisters and their families are usually in town, so it’s a family day for us! We plan to swim all day, cook out in the evening and settle in to watch fireworks! Lucky for us, our neighborhood puts on the BEST fireworks display, so we just take chairs and blankets out to the driveway and watch from there!
Am I the only one that is on a constant hunt for the perfect white tee? I swear I have 8-10 white tops hanging in my closet, because I am always trying to find the perfect white tee. When Megan and I were working on the June Shoplindsey x Beau & Arrow collection, I knew I wanted to add a good white tee (because what is better than a white tee in the Summer Time?!). I wanted it to be simple and versatile (so you could wear it year round), but I wanted it to be a little different and on brand. I am so in love the white tee we found!
Good morning and welcome to The Friday Five; a fun new series here on le blog! Each week I’ll share my top 5 favorite things that I’m either purchasing or just loving from around the internet! This week obviously has a theme! I’ve been spending my days planning of our beach vacation in August, so I’m in total Summer, beachy vibes mode right now! Are you headed anywhere with a beach this Summer?
The Friday Five
In April, I had the opportunity to work with Terra Wilkison, Owner of Salon 504 in Fort Smith. Since then, I have been counting down the days until I could share this post with you! Honestly, I wanted to write it right away, but knew if I wanted to give my real, authentic opinion, that would only come with time. We are 2 months in and I am so excited to share about my experience with Terra, the girls at Salon 504 and Natural Beaded Row Extensions!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I chopped my hair off in January.
Good Morning! I’m just drinking a freshly brewed cup of coffee and settling in with a good book… just kidding! I’m rushing around like crazy, trying to get my kids out the door for school! BUT I am reading (listening) to a great book and that got me thinking. I can’t be the only one running around all day from school drop offs to errands to doing chores around the house. Going all the time. Surely some of you out there are just like me, you have a stack of books (or a ever growing list in your notes app) that you want to read, you just can’t find the time.
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw I did a poll last week in my stories to see if you would be interested in seeing what pieces I’m adding to my cart this Spring. If you follow me on Instagram, you may also know that I am a serial ‘add to cart’ girl, but I’m a horrible online shopper! I am constantly adding to my cart- at all my favorite retailers- all over the internet and I can’t make myself check out! And yes, from time to time I will grab a thing or two, but in reality… as much as I would love to… I can’t afford my online shopping habits! (Please tell me I’m not alone!)
When we were brainstorming for the March Shoplindsey x Beau & Arrow collection, I knew that I wanted to add a Kimono to the line. My Pinterest Board is full of different ways to style them and my online carts all over the internet have a Kimono in each one! I love how by just adding a fun printed kimono you can change the entire style of a look. You can dress it up with a monochromatic base, heels and statement jewelry or throw it on over distressed jeans, a white tee, and your favorite mules.
If you read my post where I shared my goals for 2018, you know that my one of my BIG goals for was starting (again) and sticking to BBG. Keeping to my ‘word’ of Fulfillment, Im happy to report that I am 7 weeks in and still at it! Every week me and one of my besties, Lauren, are working through our 12 week training and keeping each other accountable. Honestly, most days I don’t feel like working out (I’m not one of those people that love it), but I also know I have a friend waiting for my text once it has been completed. Accountability is huge for me to meet this goal… also huge (and this is so silly, but so true) workout clothes. Ugh, Im almost embarrassed to type that, but it’s such a big motivator for me! Why? I’m not sure. Maybe it’s the Stylist in me. I get excited about new clothes and can’t wait to wear them. It truly gives my workout a boost!
