I get so many messages about this protein drink every week, so I thought it would be good to write it out and share it here on the blog as a reference for you! I make this drink almost everyday! It’s filling, gives me an extra burst of energy and keeps me full all afternoon! I even have Brian hooked on it! It’s a very simple recipe and so easy to make!
Coffee + Protein DrinkĀ
2 shots of espresso
Vanilla Protein Shake
Ground Cinnamon

I start by filling a large cup with ice (all the way to the top! The coffee will melt some of the ice)and then I sprinkle in a bit of ground cinnamon.
Next, I pour 2 Shots of Espresso over the ice and cinnamon. We have a simple espresso maker and it works so well, so you do not need anything fancy! I have also used morning coffee or cold brew made with our Ninja Coffee Bar. The Espresso is by far my favorite though!
Finally, I add in my Protein Shake. I have used Premier Protein before, but I equally love this Equate brand from Walmart and it saves me about $2 each week! I prefer the vanilla flavor, but have tried the chocolate, caramel and cookies & creme and they are all yummy!
That’s it! Just stir and enjoy!
When I am out running errands, I always try to take a protein shake with me. It makes lunch on the go so much easier! I will run through the Starbucks drive thru and order my espresso shots. Here is what I order; Triple shot espresso (y’all. I love espresso. You do not need to order a triple shot! A double would be perfect!) over ice in a TRENTA cup. I also ask them to sprinkle in a bit of ground cinnamon. Then I just add my protein shake and stir! So easy and it’s maybe $2!
